Sound familiar?

"I haven't done my books in weeks"

Log income and expenses on your phone as they happen, so there is nothing to catch up on.

"BAS is due next week and I haven't looked at my numbers since last quarter"

Your BAS worksheet fills in as you go, so the figures are ready for your accountant to check.

"I'm paying a fortune for software I barely use"

Summed is $9 a month, and everything in it is something a sole trader actually uses.

Summed fixes all three. In about 30 seconds a day.
Personal Trainers & Fitness

Know which sessions actually pay.

Between the 6am clients, the gym floor and the drive to your next PT session, the books are the last thing on your mind. Summed keeps the money side to a few taps — so at tax time it's already sorted, not a weekend you lose.

Personal trainer coaching a client through a session
01 See which sessions actually pay Tag every payment as you log it — one-on-ones, group classes, online plans — and see which ones carry your week, not just which fill the calendar.
02 Gear, travel and rego, sorted Equipment, gym-floor or chair rent, courses, insurance and the driving between clients — the costs a trainer racks up are already categorised, so tax time is a copy-paste.
03 Invoice clients in a couple of taps Build an invoice, email the link, and watch it move from sent to viewed to paid — instead of chasing a ten-pack over text.
04 Tax time without the scramble Your income, expenses and GST are already sorted the way the ATO expects under Simpler BAS — so tax time is a quick review, not a lost weekend.
Cafes & Hospo

End of day close in under a minute.

The morning rush turns into the lunch rush turns into the clean-down. The last thing you want at 4pm is a shoebox of dockets. Summed pulls cash, card, and Square into one daily total — before you wipe down the last table.

  • Square POS integration (Crew plan) — pull yesterday's sales into Summed with one click. No CSV fiddling, no double entry.
  • Cash & card split tracked side by side — enter total takings, cash portion, and card portion; Summed flags it if the numbers don't add up.
  • Staff & shift management — single staff on Solo, full team on Crew — track hours for casuals, calculate wages with super, and see the weekly wage bill at a glance.
  • Supplier receipts, scanned in seconds — snap the milk delivery docket at the back door and the total, date, and GST are read for you — you check them before saving.
  • Weekly P&L by category — see which parts of the business are actually carrying you, compared against last week.
Tradies & Field Services

Log the job before you leave the driveway.

You're not doing the books at the kitchen table after the kids are in bed. You're doing them at the red light on the way to the next job. Summed was built for a phone in one hand and a toolbag in the other.

Cash and card, logged side by sideWhether the customer paid in cash on the doorstep or tapped a card, it goes in the same book.
Trade-specific categoriesMaterials, fuel, vehicle, tools, subcontractors — already there. Not a generic "office expense" in sight.
Receipt scanning from the utePhotograph the Bunnings dockets into a pile on the passenger seat, scan them at the next coffee stop.
Mobile-first, no app store installAdd Summed to your home screen and it opens like an app. One hand, two taps, job logged.

Sole Traders

Know what you actually take home.

Consultants, freelancers, photographers, mobile groomers, dog walkers, sparkies without a crew. You're the business. Summed tells you what the business is really paying you — after GST, after expenses, after super you've set aside.

Income per client or session Categorise income as you log it and see which parts of your work actually make money.
GST registration guidance Not registered for GST yet? Summed holds your GST status until you are, so tax is only added once you register. Most sole traders must register once turnover reaches $75,000, but some — including rideshare and taxi drivers — must register from their first dollar.
ATO-aware expense categories Vehicle, fuel, tools, subscriptions — so your tax-time copy-paste actually works.
One-click accountant export Download a formatted accountant package as a single CSV for any quarter — the file your accountant actually wants. No "I'll dig it up this weekend" promises.

Everything you need in the app.

Receipts, invoices, BAS figures and your due dates — four things that used to mean four apps, in one place, sized to fit on a phone.

Receipt scanner

Snap a photo or upload a supplier PDF and Summed reads the vendor, date, total and GST — tuned to the receipts Aussie businesses actually get. The image stays attached to the transaction for your audit trail. Works on every plan.

Compliance calendar

Your BAS, super and state public-holiday dates in one place — labelled with who each one applies to, alongside your own transactions, invoices and shifts, so nothing gets buried in a spreadsheet.

Dates shown are standard self-lodge deadlines; if a registered tax or BAS agent lodges on your behalf, you may have longer — Summed doesn't lodge or provide tax advice.

Invoicing

Build a proper invoice in a couple of taps with your terms and line items — Summed works out the subtotal, GST and total. Enter your price and Summed works out the GST inside it — the GST line shows once you’re registered, and the total your client pays stays the same. Email the link and track it from sent to viewed to paid.

Quarterly BAS

Every transaction already knows its GST position, so Summed has your G1, 1A and 1B ready — the labels the ATO expects under Simpler BAS — plus your net GST. Check the figures before you lodge yourself. Summed doesn't lodge for you, and Summed is not a registered tax or BAS agent.

You don't need accounting software. You need answers.

Running a larger team or multiple businesses? Summed is purpose-built for sole traders and small teams. For multi-entity or accountant-lodgement needs, speak to your registered tax agent or bookkeeper.

One price. The same one at renewal.

No teaser rate that jumps after the first year, and no promo pricing that resets to a higher number once you’re signed up. The $9 you see is the $9 you pay.

Flat $9 a month

Or $84 a year — that’s $24 back in your pocket. The price you sign up on is the price you renew on. No intro period, no step-up in month thirteen.

No lock-in

Month to month. Cancel any time from your account — no contract, no exit fee, no phone call to talk you out of it.

Priced for a sole trader

Built for tradies, PTs, cafe owners and owner-operators — not padded out with accountant features you’ll never open, just to justify a bigger number.

Frequently Asked Questions

I'm not a numbers person. Will I understand this?
That's exactly who we built it for. No accounting jargon. No chart of accounts. You log what happened, and Summed tells you what it means — in plain English.
Does this replace my accountant?
No — and it shouldn't. Summed is a record-keeping tool that makes your accountant's job faster and cheaper. One-click exports give them everything they need. Think of it as the bridge between your daily business and tax time.
Is my data secure?
Your financial data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256), and passwords are securely hashed with bcrypt. We host on AWS Sydney (ap-southeast-2) — your account data, business records, and uploaded receipts are stored in Australia, with Multi-Availability-Zone redundancy and AWS KMS-managed encryption. AWS holds ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II certifications for the Sydney region. Our data handling complies with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and all 13 Australian Privacy Principles. A small number of third-party processors (Stripe for payments, OpenAI for optional receipt scanning, Resend for transactional email) still handle limited data offshore — see our Privacy Policy for the full APP 8 disclosure. Your data is only visible to you — and your accountant, if you invite them.
I have a shoebox of receipts. Can Summed help?
That's literally why we exist. Snap photos of receipts as you get them, or import your bank statements as a CSV. No more shoeboxes. Your accountant will thank you.
Can I switch from my existing software?
Yes. You can export your data from your current tool and import transactions into Summed via CSV. Most sole traders and small teams switch in under 30 minutes.
What's the catch with the free trial?
No catch. 30 days, full access to every feature on your chosen plan. No credit card required. If you don't love it, you don't pay. Your data stays safe either way.

Stop spending your weekends on bookkeeping.
